Community Guidelines
Last updated: June 2026
Xquip is built by and for working film and production people. These guidelines keep the marketplace safe, fair, and worth being part of. They apply to everyone โ owners, hirers, and crew. Breaching them can lead to warnings, listing removal, or account suspension.
1. Treat people professionally
- Communicate clearly and respond in good time.
- No harassment, hate speech, threats, discrimination, or abuse of any kind.
- No impersonation of other people, businesses, or Xquip staff.
2. Be honest in your listings and profile
- Describe gear accurately โ condition, what's included, and any faults.
- Use real photos of the actual item where possible.
- Crew profiles must reflect genuine experience and credentials.
3. Honour your bookings
- A confirmed booking is a commitment. Turn up at the agreed time and place.
- If you genuinely can't proceed, tell the other party as early as possible through Xquip messaging.
- Repeated cancellations or no-shows affect your rating and may lead to suspension.
4. Keep transactions on Xquip
- Arrange and pay for bookings through the platform. Taking payments off-platform to avoid fees ("fee circumvention") is not allowed.
- Don't share contact details in public listings or early messages to route around Xquip.
- On-platform transactions are what let us help if something goes wrong.
5. Rate honestly
Ratings keep the community accountable. Leave fair, accurate reviews based on your real experience. Don't post fake reviews, trade reviews, or use ratings to retaliate.
6. Report problems
If you see a listing or behaviour that breaches these guidelines, contact us at support@xquip.com.au. We review every report.
7. Consequences
Depending on severity, breaches may result in a warning, removal of listings or reviews, temporary suspension, or permanent account closure. Serious or unlawful conduct may be referred to the relevant authorities.
