Trust & Safety Standards
Last updated: June 2026
Notice: This is a draft template. Have it reviewed by an Australian lawyer before going live.
Xquip is built on trust between people who often work in the same industry. These standards explain how we help keep the marketplace safe and what we ask of you.
1. Accounts
- Use your real identity and accurate details. One person or business, one account, unless we agree otherwise.
- Keep your login secure and let us know immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
- We verify email addresses, and may take additional steps to confirm identity where we consider it appropriate.
2. Safer transactions
- Keep bookings, payments, and communication on Xquip โ it's how we can help if something goes wrong.
- Document equipment condition at handover and return.
- Meet in sensible, public locations where practical, and trust your judgement.
3. What we monitor
- We may review listings, messages, and account activity to detect fraud, abuse, or policy breaches.
- We may investigate suspicious activity and take action including warnings, listing removal, or suspension.
- We may cooperate with law enforcement and regulators where legally required.
4. What we can't guarantee
Any checks we perform are limited and do not amount to a guarantee about any user, item, or transaction. You are responsible for your own due diligence before dealing with another user. Xquip is a marketplace platform and is not a party to transactions between users.
5. Reporting and emergencies
Report suspicious or unsafe behaviour to support@xquip.com.au. If you are in immediate danger or a crime is in progress, contact emergency services on 000 first.
